RAINHAM PARISH SAFEGUARDING

Following the Final Report of the Nolan Committee about Protection of Child and Young People, the Catholic Office for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults (COPCA) has been set up by the Bishops of England and Wales. 
In our Parish, we take seriously of our responsibility for the protection of children and young people. We do our utmost to ensure a safe and secure environment for the provision of spiritual, catechetical and pastoral care, and activities in the parish.

We will liaise with statutory agencies to ensure that any allegation of abuse is dealt with promptly and properly, any victim is supported and any perpetrator is held to account. All groups in the diocese are committed to establishing high standards of practice.
